Portable & Temporary Projects

Dillard University

Dillard University in New Orleans chose Ramtech to meet the requirement for three temporary dormitories while their permanent housing was being remodeled. The buildings incorporate semi-private suites with adjoining restrooms, study areas, kitchen, laundry, and student lounges.

Houston Independent School District

An expanding enrollment required new classrooms and a cafeteria addition at Houston I.S.D’s Sugargrove Elementary. Ramtech provided a freestanding eight classroom addition with a connecting walkway to the existing building along with a 2,400 square foot commercial kitchen for the cafetorium.

Plano Independent School District

Ramtech provided 25 classroom buildings to the Plano (TX) I.S.D. for use at their elementary, junior and senior high schools. Each building has four classrooms and features a Hardipanel exterior textured and painted to match the adjacent structure and meet the City’s masonry requirements.

Dallas County School District

This Head Start grantee required a large activity center to meet its growing enrollment for their early childhood development program. Ramtech provided a 9,400 square foot facility complete with classrooms, activity rooms, and a commercial kitchen.

Ramtech Standard Double-Classroom

Since 1982 the Ramtech Portable Classroom building has been the standard for schools across Texas and the Southwest. Ramtech Portable Classrooms are available for purchase or lease with or without restrooms through several network purchasing cooperatives.

Permanent Projects

Arlington Independent School District

In order to expand the Arlington, TX ISD’s full-day kindergarten program, Ramtech provided 117 permanent modular classrooms across 37 separate campus locations in less than 15 months. Each building was designed to integrate with the existing campus architecture.

Rice Independent School District

Ramtech provided two separate classroom wings designed to architecturally blend in with the existing structures. The project provided for additional locker space in the corridors, and ten classrooms including an art curriculum room and an in-school suspension room.

China Lake NAS Daycare Center

This 25,000 sq. ft. permanent modular building provides Pre-K and older daycare for military and civilian personnel. The building has a site-applied stucco exterior, and was designed utilizing non-loaded corridors, and a mist cooling system in the courtyards and play areas.
