Cafetoriums
One of the most effective ways of developing usable space to meet the requirements for both student dining and an auditorium assembly area is a hybrid space commonly referred to as a cafetorium. These multi-use, multitasking rooms utilize an allotted space much more efficiently than individual cafeterias which are used only at selected times during the day and rarely at night, or a standalone auditorium which typically stays empty the vast majority of the day. By combining both facilities under one footprint, you save on the overall square footage cost for the design and construction while maximizing the available space you have to build on.
Ramtech has a long track record in creating inviting, healthy environments that students want to be a part of. This is particularly true when it comes to dining facilities. Our designers are well-versed in understanding the requirements for a complete foodservice facility by maximizing the space in each work area including storage, preparation, cooking, serving, dining and cleanup. This same attention to detail is also the case when designing the auditorium component of the building. Our experience includes structures that are designed with the right acoustical characteristics, while incorporating sloped floors and terraced seating, raised stages, performance lighting equipment, and audiovisual and projection systems. We can ensure you that the layout, equipment specification, and services required for your cafetorium will meet all applicable building code and ADA requirements, as well as providing for the efficient use of resources for HVAC, lighting, and water consumption.
